Overview

Medical directors, consultant pharmacists and registered nurses who work in
long-term care settings and who are involved in the diagnosis, treatment and care
of patients with Clostridium difficile-associated disease (CDAD) are welcome to participate in this free continuing education activity. This virtual lecture is intended to assist these healthcare professionals in understanding how to manage patients with CDAD who require long-term care in the new era of increasing incidence and severity of C. difficile infection.

This free activity consists of a Lecture Presentation, a Learning Assessment and an Evaluation Form. The content of this virtual lecture was derived from a live teleconference in October 2006 presented by Alex T. Makris, MD, CMD. Dr. Makris is President of the New Jersey American Medical Directors Association, an infectious diseases consultant, and a multi-facility medical director.
