RMEI Medical Education, LLC – An International Leader in Patient-Centric, Practice-Based Continuing Education - Earns Interprofessional Joint Accreditation for the Healthcare Team

Voorhees, NJ – January 6, 2021
RMEI Medical Education, LLC (RMEI) announced today that it has been granted Joint Accreditation™ for Interprofessional Continuing Education (Joint Accreditation). This follows a rigorous 15-month application process that included a comprehensive self-study report of RMEI’s continuing education program, developed in accordance with Joint Accreditation Criteria, submission of 9 performance-in-practice files of selected activities, and an accreditation interview.

Joint Accreditation establishes the standards for education providers to deliver continuing education planned by the healthcare team for the healthcare team. This distinction is granted by 3 global leaders in the field of accreditation, including the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

“RMEI is honored to be recognized by Joint Accreditation as a jointly accredited provider.” said Erika Sinofsky, MA, CHCP, Vice President of Accreditation & Compliance at RMEI. “We are proud to join this distinguished group of providers and remain committed to offering the highest caliber of continuing education activities for the healthcare team.”

RMEI is accredited to simultaneously provide continuing education activities for multiple professions through a single, unified application process, and set of accreditation standards. Jointly accredited providers may choose to award single profession or interprofessional continuing education credit (IPCE) to dentists, dieticians, nurses, optometrists, pharmacists, physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, and social workers without needing to obtain separate accreditations. Joint Accreditation is the first and only credentialing body in the world offering this benefit.

“Our team consistently demonstrates the ability to implement an integrated planning process intended to achieve improvement in interprofessional team knowledge, skills, strategy, or performance and/or patient outcomes.” said Kirk Tacka, PhD, Vice President of Medical Strategy at RMEI. “We look forward to continuing to develop team-based educational activities that have a meaningful impact on clinicians and their patients.”
