Clinical Convergence^®: Creating a Framework for Personalized Management in the Treatment of Children with Asthma

Program Overview

An Online IME Intervention Featuring Clinician and Patient Faculty and a Decision Support Aid for Practice Application Experts in the management of children with asthma discuss the origins of this disorder, challenges associated with the management of this population, current management guidelines, and the role of biologic therapy in the treatment of individual patients. Conversations with two pediatric patients with asthma and their parents are included to provide a real-world perspective on the management of this disease.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for clinicians (MD/DO, NP, PA) practicing in the specialties of allergy/immunology, pediatrics, and pulmonology, who diagnose and manage asthma in children.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Identify barriers to the optimal management of children with asthma
Apply established guidelines and algorithms when managing children with asthma
Assess current data on approved and emerging biologic therapies for the treatment of children with asthma
Recognize that children with moderate-to-severe asthma may benefit from treatment with a biologic therapy
