Save Their Breath: Diagnosing and Treating NTM-LD

Program Overview

In this fun and unique Escape Room educational experience, learners will test their knowledge on diagnosing, treating, and managing NTM-LD by working through a patient case in a gamified approach. Learners will work to answer questions, find clues, and solve puzzles to ultimately complete the mission of managing a patient with NTM-LD. Evidence and guideline-based information will be provided throughout the escape room experience to reinforce diagnostic criteria, treatment regimens, and key monitoring parameters.

Target Audience

Pulmonology, infectious disease, geriatrics, and primary care clinicians managing patients with nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease (NTM-LD).

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Diagnose nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease (NTM-LD) utilizing available guidelines
Individualize treatment for NTM-LD using current guidelines
Apply evidence-based strategies for managing and monitoring NTM-LD therapy-associated adverse effects
