Non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis (NCFBE) is an inflammatory pulmonary condition that characteristically causes permanent widening of the airways, making it difficult for patients to properly clear mucus. This excessive mucus leads to recurrent lung infections and damage—fueling a cycle of chronic inflammation. New treatment strategies are changing how NCFBE is managed. This activity discusses how to utilize these advancements to develop safe and efficacious treatment regimens that address the underlying pathophysiology of NCFBE.
