Immunotherapy for NMSC: Key Insights for Oncology, Dermatology, and Infusion Nurses

Program Overview

The introduction of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) for advanced and metastatic forms of non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC) has changed management, adding both opportunities and challenges. In this webinar, nurses will gain a practical understanding of the role of ICIs in NMSC management, including how they work, how to communicate safety and efficacy expectations to patients, safe administration and handling practices, how to recognize and characterize immune-related adverse events (irAEs), including why irAEs happen, and how to differentiate life-threatening irAEs from common side effects. The presentation will be coupled with a series of case studies and a live Q&A session with Nurse Practitioner Krista M. Rubin, MS, RN, FNP-BC. This webinar will empower nurses to communicate ICI treatment plans to patients with confidence and engage them as advocates in their own care.
