Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is one of the most common infectious complications in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients. During this symposium, the faculty will discuss best practices for prevention and treatment of CMV post-transplant and provide clinical pearls for managing difficult-to-treat CMV, including refractory or drug-resistant disease. You will learn first-hand from a patient with CMV about the burden and very personal aspects of this disease.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
A statement of credit will be issued only upon receipt of a completed activity evaluation form and will be e-mailed to you within 3 weeks. Physicians who would like to claim American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) points must provide ABIM ID and month/date of birth and score 75% or higher on the post-test.
