Targeted Approaches to CMV Management: Alleviating the Patient Burden from Prevention to Refractory Disease: A Care Team Forum®

Program Overview

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) remains one of the most formidable complications after solid organ transplant (SOT). Limited antiviral options are complicated by their toxicity risk and rising resistance rates, making treatment a challenge. In this activity, Drs. Deepali Kumar and Raymund R. Razonable share practical, evidence-based strategies to manage the most common serious infectious complication after SOT. The faculty are joined by a patient who will speak directly about how her transplant journey was complicated by CMV and what it means for her to navigate this challenging infection on her path towards healing.
